I am a Superintendent for a large commercial general contractor, and I fully realize that I am extremely picky, detailed and have high expectations for companies that I hire to work on my personal home. When I was researching different companies to perform my crawlspace encapsulation, I first heard of Kefficient through my co-workers that share the same expectations of high-quality work. During this process, I met with 3 companies to review and discuss the encapsulation process, and I must say that Kefficient stood out immediately among the others as being far superior and professional. Brad Conner at Kefficient came out to my home, walked me through the process, we discussed expectations and pricing. The price that Brad showed me, which was not inexpensive, was far more reasonable and the most honest number presented to me from all three companies. Other companies started with extremely high numbers then worked their way down, sometimes they'd cut as high as $15k off the number to try and beat the next guy. Could I have given the job to another company for cheaper? Absolutely. Did I give it to the most honest company with an extremely positive track record of quality, craftsmanship and professionalism? I absolutely did and that is what first won me over during my work with Kefficient. After about 2 months of permitting and an opening in Kefficient's schedule, Kefficient arrived on-site and began working. During the process I would go under my crawlspace each night after work to review their progress. Daryl, the crew foreman was also extremely professional and helpful by showing me through their process. During my visits, they had immense respect for my home, my yard, etc. by keeping it clean, organized and had minimal impact on my homelife. I would talk with Brad Conner every day, who by the way, was always available even if it was 9pm at night and I had a question or just wanted to go over the next day's plan to ease my anxiety of getting a project/home improvement of this size and cost completed to satisfaction. Brad Conner was so confident in his and his crew's ability to successfully complete my project and go above and beyond my expectations that he even had Mark Keffer, the owner of Kefficient, come to my home and personally inspect my crawlspace encapsulation and give it his stamp of approval before I paid the full amount for the project. Mark was extremely helpful in answering questions and it meant a lot to me that the owner of a company would be willing to meet me, look at my crawlspace and give his approval before I paid my final balance. I can't say enough good things about Kefficient and I am extremely happy with my newly encapsulated crawlspace. I have been having Issues with my crawlspace for years. The previous company that worked on my crawlspace was terrible to say the least. I was referred to Kefficient. What a pleasant surprise. They arrived as scheduled, the employees are extremely professional and courteous, and they do great work. They keep their word, which seems to be quite rare these days. We recently finalized an encapsulation project with Kefficient and can recommend them as a good company that takes care of its customers. The encapsulation looks great. We ran into a few minor issues, but Kyle, Jerrell, and Damion were responsive and made sure we were taken care of and that the issues were addressed promptly. We also had a Kefficient team (Klaly, Mia, and Katia) come out to do duct cleaning. They did a great job as well! Mike Andrews (Home Inspector/Consultant) arrived promptly for our appointment and explained the problem clearly and provided a detailed estimate to properly address the issues. Mike listened carefully to our needs, concerns, and preferences and provided expert guidance throughout the design of the work process. Mike and Kyle Shaw (Project Manager) kept us informed every step of the way and promptly addressed our questions or concerns. It was a pleasure to work with Mike, Kyle, and the work crew from the initial consultation through the completion of the project. They both also responded promptly to our texting and email questions and or concerns. The craftsmanship and attention to detail from the work crew, Andres, Ramiro, and Enel was second to none. The finished space is truly impressive. This work crew always went the extra mile to accommodate minor and extra request from me that were noticed as they were working. This work crew was just plain "Awesome". The finish product really exceeds our expectations, and we’re grateful to Mike, Kyle, Andres, Ramiro, and Enel for bringing our vision to life! Should you hire Kefficient for your crawl space work, I recommend you ask for this crew by name; you will not be disappointed. I would like to note that communication with the office personnel is very poor; they take forever to call or email back if they ever respond, Unfortunately, Do Not Waste Your Time! I learned quickly that is best to communicate with either your Home Inspector/Consultant and or your Field Project Manager if one is assigned; they both provided a great customer service. This is a 5 stars crew and Kudos for them! Money well invested. I highly recommend this crew.
